Cuddle Therapy with Amelia

Sometimes, we just need to be held.

To be gathered up like a child or to rest beside a kind, steady body that says:

You are safe. You are seen. You are not alone.

What is Cuddle Therapy?

In a world that asks so much of us, many of us are touch-starved — not just for physical contact, but for the deeper nourishment of presence. Cuddle sessions are designed to offer exactly that: steady, attuned, platonic touch that allows your system to soften, unwind, and integrate.

Cuddle Therapy is a professional, platonic modality of nurturing, consensual touch. It’s designed to support you through presence, tenderness, and emotional soothing.

When we’re held—with full awareness, respect, and consent—we release stress, feel validated, and reconnect with our bodies and our humanity. Research shows that safe, nurturing touch lowers anxiety, eases loneliness, and helps us feel more resilient.

My Journey & Why I Do This

My name is Amelia.

After my beloved husband Erik passed away, I discovered how essential it is to have someone to just hold you. No words required. Just presence.

I became something of a cuddle evangelist. I saw how powerful it was to be wrapped up, soothed, and gathered. That experience inspired me to pursue professional certification with Cuddlist.com, where I trained in consent, boundaries, and how to stay in emergent, moment-to-moment relationship.

For me, cuddle therapy is not frivolous. It is profound.
It is medicine.

It is tenderness that heals.

What Makes My Approach Unique

There are many wonderful cuddle therapists out there, each with their own gifts. What I bring is rooted not only in my training with Cuddlist, but also in my years of study and teaching in Tantra and the Inner Marriage—a body of work about harmonizing the masculine and feminine energies within us.

This means my work isn’t just about “touch.” It’s about felt presence, energetic attunement, and embodied aliveness. I pay attention to subtle shifts in breath, energy, and the relational field we create together.

Cuddle therapy with me offers more than comfort—it can be part of a subtle transformation: opening you to deeper aliveness, greater self-presence, and renewed connection.

In a world where we so often drift through life on autopilot, the simple kindness of being held can become an invitation to wake up and reclaim your aliveness.

All of this is held within a platonic framework, with clear agreements. You lead; I attune.

What a Session Feels Like

  • Consent first & always. Every touch is chosen together, moment by moment. You remain in the driver’s seat of your comfort and experience.

  • Always clothed. Both of us remain fully clothed at all times. Comfortable, cozy clothing is encouraged.

  • Platonic and professional. This is not romantic or sexual—it’s about support, nurturing, and human connection.

  • Your pace, your rhythm. What you need guides the session.

  • A safe container. Together we create a space where you can soften, release, and reconnect with yourself.

  • Soft edges. This space is free of shame, agenda, or performance. You get to show up exactly as you are.

  • After-care. At the end, we pause to reflect, so you leave grounded and integrated.

Session Information

Intake Call

Before booking a session, we’ll schedule a 15–30 minute intake call. This is a chance to meet, do a mutual vibe check, ask questions, and make sure it feels like a good fit.

Location & Space

Sessions take place in my private cuddle space in Northampton, MA. It’s a cozy, intentionally created sanctuary with blankets, pillows, and soft light to help you feel safe and comfortable. You’ll have the choice of a comfortable couch or a spacious bed for nesting, with plenty of pillows and blankets for support.

There is free street parking nearby. Please note: the space is located up two flights of stairs and is not wheelchair accessible.

Inclusivity

I welcome clients of all genders, orientations, body types, and life experiences. My practice is clothed, platonic, and consent-led. You lead; I attune.

Session Rates

Every body is different, and so are the rhythms of being held. Some people want a shorter session to dip their toes in. Others find that it takes a little longer to really soften and settle. My rates are designed to give you options while encouraging the spaciousness that allows deeper rest and connection. Most new clients begin with a 90-minute or 2-hour session.

  • 60 minutes — $195
A gentle beginning. Good if you’re curious and want to try a shorter session.

  • 90 minutes — $270
A little more room to breathe. Many people find this is the sweet spot.

  • 120 minutes — $350
Time to fully exhale. Enough space for the body and heart to really soften.

  • 180 minutes — $495
An extended sanctuary. For when you want to be deeply gathered in and held for a long stretch.

Sliding Scale

I hold a limited number of sliding-scale spots for clients experiencing financial hardship. These sessions are available at a reduced rate of $125–$150/hour, depending on your circumstances. Please inquire if this would make the work accessible for you.

Payment & Cancellations

  • Payment is due at the time of booking.

  • I accept PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle.

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled session may be charged in full.

Cuddle Therapy in Gnarly Times

In gnarly times—when the ground beneath us shifts, when grief or overwhelm loom—safe, nurturing touch can feel harder to access, yet more essential than ever.

Cuddle Therapy is one way of remembering:
✨You don’t have to hold it all alone.
✨You can be gathered, supported, and met right where you are.

Here are two short videos that may support you and give you a sense of who I am:

📽️How to Be with a Person in Grief
Simple, heartfelt ways to show up for someone who is grieving—with presence, kindness, and without pressure to fix.

📽️How to Deal with the Grief of the Current Unraveling
Reflections and practices for meeting the grief of our collective unraveling—so we can stay connected, resourced, and alive even when the world feels heavy.

✨These videos are free resources. If they resonate, you may also find that a cuddle therapy session is another way to receive the support, presence, and tenderness you deserve.✨
